Installation Liaison and Project Coordinator for Brave Maggie Designs - Custom Window Treatments
Area: Brave Maggie Designs is based in Franklin, TN and works with homes/businesses throughout the south metro Nashville area and Williamson county.
Areas we typically cover include: Nashville: Belle Meade, Sylvan Park, Oak Hill, Green HIlls, Hillwood, Belmont, Richland-West End, Downtown/High Rise. South of Nashville include: Brentwood, Franklin, Thompsons Station, Leipers Fork, College Grove
Reports To: Owner
Hours: This is a part time position but can also become full time depending on skills and experience.
Hours will vary each week based on jobs scheduled. Some weeks will require more or less hours than others. There is some level of flexibility however, on install days those will often times require full 8 hour days.
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly energetic Installation Liaison and Project Coordinator to manage the coordination and execution of window treatment projects. (Note: This position is not for an actual installer but will manage the installation process.)
This unique role involves being the primary liaison between our installer, clients, and internal team, ensuring the successful completion of projects with the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the design industry.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between the installer, clients, fabricators, and internal team to confirm timing of completed projects and scheduling of installations.
Work closely with our installer to schedule and attend/oversee every installation (on-site), ensuring all items are delivered and installed according to the highest quality standards.
Assist in the hanging, steaming and styling of window treatments to the highest standards. Take photos of completed projects for documentation.
Manage any issues that arise during installation, communicate them professionally to the owner, and implement solutions.
Maintain positive relationships with clients, designers, and vendors, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project.
Use your own reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement), large enough to handle large jobs, or arrange for the pickup and delivery of items such as extra-long hardware.
Ensure all items needed for installations are accurately tracked in our project management system, scheduled and ready by installation day.
Pick up/drop off fabrics with designers and coordinate pick up/delivery with seamstresses/fabricators and local vendors (hardware).
Take photos of installations (when allowed) and upload them into company folders. Prepare photos for use by the social media team.
Maintain showroom: Be on-site in Franklin, TN showroom one day per week to assist:
Check in fabrics and finished product and make updates in our project management software.
Clean and organize the showroom, returning samples and unpacking new inventory.
Meet with owner to review status of each project.
Physical Requirements: This is a highly physical job and requires someone with a lot of energy and willingness to jump in and assist in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as: climbing ladders, steaming window treatments, lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds (bolts of fabric). Able to maintain energy levels when loading and unloading vehicles with a house full of window treatments, often up and down stairs.
Qualifications: Many times we act as an extension of our designers’ team and therefore this position requires someone with a design eye who understands this business from a designers point of view.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field such as:
Junior Designer/interior design
Home Decor Retail or Fabric sales
Working as a stylist or stager
Project management with an interior design firm
Specific experience in a workroom or custom window treatment business.
Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Understanding of various window treatment materials, styles, and installation techniques.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be friendly and able to build positive relationships with vendors and clients.
Attention to detail is essential, ensuring all items are accounted for in every installation.
